Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper) Vacancies

The notification also announces 22 vacancies for Sahayika posts across various Panchayat Halqas, including Churranda, Garkote, Bugna, Zahanpora, Balkote, Daragutliyan, Lachipora, Choolan, Salamabad, Nambla, Mohura, Kamalkot, Uroosa, Kundi, Barjala, Jabla, and Isham. Selection will be made only for applicants belonging to the respective notified electoral wards.

Who Can Apply?

• Only women candidates are eligible to apply.
• The applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• The applicant must be a resident of the electoral ward where the notified Anganwadi Centre is located.
• The name of the applicant should appear in the voter list of the concerned ward as proof of residence.
• If the applicant’s name appears in the voter list along with her parents’, an unmarried certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar must be submitted.
• In case of any residence dispute, the decision of the concerned SDM/ACR based on the residence certificate will be considered.
• For Sahayika posts, preference will be given to married and economically weaker women. Unmarried candidates may be considered if no eligible married candidate is available.
• An applicant belonging to the family of a retiring Anganwadi worker or helper will receive 2% additional weightage in merit.

Educational Qualification

Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)

• Minimum Qualification: 10+2 Pass
• Maximum Qualification: Graduation
• Applicants possessing qualifications above graduation are not eligible.
• Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the 10+2 examination.

Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper)

• Minimum Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10)
• If no matriculate applicant is available, candidates having at least a Class 8 qualification may be considered.
• Maximum Qualification: Class 10 as per the applicable HR policy.

5. Submit the completed application form at the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, POSHAN Project URI, near Toll Post Lagama.
6. Obtain an acknowledgement receipt after submitting the application form within the prescribed time limit.
